Farm Field Crew

  • 1-2 day per week (8-18 hrs) Wed, Thursday

Job Description

We love to work hard and play! The ideal candidate will be passionate about organic farming, able to perform manual labor, and brings a great attitude. Farm crew will be expected to come to work on time, work in all weather conditions.

Should be able to lift 50 lbs, willing to complete repetitive tasks, have a positive attitude and be open to taking feedback.

A day could consist of weeding, harvesting, fertilizing fields, transplanting, direct seeding, using a paper pot transplanter, setting up irrigation, helping to move infrastructure, potting up, processing storage crops, washing crops, and bed prep. Plus if you can operate machinery. 


Harvest Crew

Details:

  • Tuesday and Friday

Job description

The ideal candidate will love local organically grown produce and providing healthy food to our greater community. It is a plus to have experience with organic farming, harvesting, and processing of produce. Farm crew will be expected to come to work on time, work in all weather conditions.

Should be able to lift 50 lbs, work bending down, willing to complete repetitive tasks, have a positive attitude and be open to taking feedback.

The day will consist of harvesting and processing for the farmers market and our CSA. This will include: harvesting, portioning, cleaning, and packing. Sometimes farm crew will be asked to participate in field tasks. 


Harvest Processor

Job Description

The ideal candidate will love local organically grown produce and providing healthy food to our greater community. It is a plus to have experience with organic farming, harvesting, and processing of produce.

Manages washing and processing, giving instructions about what needs to be processed and harvested. Packs up for market and CSA, makes sure all numbers are entered in on the harvest sheet. Make sure the compost is dumped and the harvest area is clean. Sets a great vibe for the harvest day! Sometimes farm crew will be asked to participate in field tasks.

Individuals should be able to lift 50 lbs, willing to complete repetitive tasks, have a positive attitude and be open to taking feedback. The day will consist of processing, cleaning, and packing crops for the farmers market and our CSA.


CSA packer and delivery

Job Description

Important to be detail oriented, organized, good at following instructions and willing to do repetitive work. Able to lift 50 lbs and work independently.

Packing slips will be provided, packer will organize produce in the packing room, make boxes, and pack orders. The packer will put the Clark Fork pick up in the farm store. Sweep out the farm store. Load up the van, must have a drivers license and be comfortable driving a large van. The packer will leave at 2:30 to deliver boxes to Sandpoint, wholesale orders and CSA pick-up from 4:00 to 5:15. Must be able to set up tables, organize boxes for pick up and have great customer service.


Monday Harvester 

  • 4-6 hrs per week Monday

Job Description

The ideal candidate will love local organically grown produce and providing healthy food to our greater community.

Important to be detail oriented, organized, and good at following instructions. Will work independently to harvest pickling cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, slicing cucumbers, put them in cold storage and label them.


Farmers Market

Join our fast paced and dynamic market crew on a Saturday.

Help set up, deliver to Bluebird Bakery and work the market. Good with math, money and people! Great customer service and passion for vegetables.

The ideal candidate will love local organically grown produce and providing healthy food to our greater community.

Plus if you have retail experience or are just a joy to be around!

Must have a driver's license. 


Seeder POSITION FILLED!

Details:

  • 1- 2 day per week (8-9 hrs)

  • May-August

  • April-May 16 hrs per week optional, June-August 6-8 hrs, September 4 hrs per week

Job Description

The ideal candidate will love local organically grown produce and providing healthy food to our greater community.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work independantly.

Plus if you are familiar with seeding, using a ppt seeder, and organic farming.

The seeder must be detail oriented, organized, and good at following instructions.

A list for the weekly seeding will be provided, the seeder is expected to find the seed in the seed storage, mix seeding soil and amendments, seed, label, water, and place seed trays in the germination chamber. Seeding will be tracked, the seed inventory will be tracked, and any issues or observations will be reported. The propagation house and seeding station will be cleaned at the end of each day. May also pot up seedlings.
